*    ATTENTION ALL TRAVEL/SELECT/COUNTY TEAM MANAGERS
All Travel/Select/County Team Managers MUST provide an email declaring that they
will be managing a Travel/Select/County team in 2008 and in what league(s) they will
be participating. This email MUST be provided to the Baseball/Softball Commissioner,
Mike Biller - Biller@Cablespeed.com, by the January monthly Baseball/Softball
meeting on Tuesday, January 22, 2008.

Additionally, the annual Team Budget will be due to Mike by the February monthly
Baseball/Softball meeting on Tuesday, February 12, 2008. Any team, which does not
comply with these requirements, will be denied managerial privileges for the 2008
year. If you have already submitted your “Declare” statement to Mike, then thank
you…

The “Green Book” information/forms are also due before the February
Baseball/Softball meeting. This includes” the Team Staff, Coaches’ Pledge, and Team
Roster Forms. Any Background Check Forms are also due prior to the February
Baseball/Softball Meeting.

There will be no exceptions to these requirements. Any Manager, who does not
comply, will be denied managerial privileges for 2008 at LFYAA.

*   Spring Baseball/Softball Registration Dates/Times are as follows.

As we did last year, we will accept registrations for 4 year olds for our Clinic League.
The child must be 4 years old on or before December 31, 2007.

There will be a $25.00 Late Registration Fee for all Registration Forms received after
Sunday, February 18, 2008.

1st Child                $ 65.00 + Family Raffle Fundraiser + Concession Fee/per Child

Each Add’l Child   $ 40.00 + Family Raffle Fundraiser + Concession Fee/per Child

Note: Each Pony player (Ages 13-14) will incur an additional charge of $30 to cover
the additional cost of umpires and equipment.

As normal, there will be a $ 30.00 Concession Stand Fee for each child. Parents will
receive their $ 30.00 refund when they complete each Concession Stand Shift.

There will be a $ 30.00 Equipment (Raffle) Fundraiser Fee for each Family. Each
Family will receive 30 Raffle Tickets and the Family will sell the Raffle Tickets and
keep this money.

Sample Registration Total Costs:
One Child:    Total = $ 120.00
       $ 30.00 (Equipment Family Fundraiser Raffle Tickets)
    + $ 65.00 (1st Child Registration Fee)
    + $ 30.00 (Concession Stand Fee)                 =  $ 125.00
(NOTE: $ 60.00 may be recovered when Raffle Tickets are Sold and Concession
Stand Duty is Performed)

Two Children:   Total = $ 200.00
               $ 30.00 (Equipment Family Fundraiser Raffle Tickets)
         + $ 65.00 (1st Child Registration Fee)
         + $ 45.00 (2nd Child Registration Fee)
         + $ 30.00 (Concession Stand Fee for 1st Child)
         + $ 30.00 (Concession Stand Fee for 2nd Child)                 =  $ 200.00

*    UNIFORM POLICY
All Players will receive a complete uniform, which consists of Jersey, Pants, Socks, and
Hat. This uniform will be kept by the player at the end of the season. However, due to
health reasons, LFYAA will no longer provide Batting Helmets for the players. Each
player must provide their own helmet.

*    The Baseball/Softball Board is looking for Team Equipment Bags from the 2007
season. Coaches, if you have not returned your intramural team equipment bags,
please drop them off at the Fieldhouse as soon as possible. Mike Biller is taking
inventory and preparing to order equipment for the 2008 Spring season.

*    ATTENTION ALL TEAM MANAGERS
Since 2004, all persons involved with any aspects of any team must comply with the
Anne Arundel County Recreation and Parks Accreditation Requirements and must be
Background Checked every three (3) years. All team managers must identify and
provide a list of his/her assistant coaches, team parents, and team staff to the League
Vice-President within one (1) week after the draft. All paperwork must be turned in
before any practice field times can be given. If you are not sure, then please complete
and return a Background Check Form for this individual. The County (and LFYAA) is
very serious about the safety of our children.

*     Following are Baseball/Softball Travel/Select/County Team “Tryout” Dates/Times.
Interested players MUST attend at least one Travel/Select/County Team “Tryout” to
be eligible. There will be NO exceptions to this LFYAA Bylaw requirement. Also, there
seems to be some confusion about how “Tryouts” are to be held. All
Travel/Select/County Team Managers MUST have at least two (2) different “Tryouts”,
which are scheduled and announced at least two (2) weeks in advance. There must
be at least one (1) week between “Tryout” dates and the “Tryouts” must be on
different days of the week. Player’s Age is determined by their age on August 31,
2007.
