Concession Stand Workers
Due to numerous questions concerning our Concession Stand Policy, we thought that the following
guidelines should help alleviate some of the confusion and emphasize the importance of Concession Stand duty.
On most nights and Saturdays, we need four (4) workers to tend the windows and cook the food. If
someone does not show up or comes in late, this puts an unnecessary burden on the remaining
workers and causes spectators to wait in excessively long lines to order their food and drinks.
Therefore, it is the policy of the Concession Stand manager to contact replacement workers for pay.
If you will not be able to fulfill your duty or you will be late, please contact, Karen our
Concession Stand manager - 410-859-5550 as soon as possible so that other arrangements can
be made.
The following guidelines apply to all Concession Stand Duty.
- Please be prompt and arrive at the Concession Stand by 5:45PM. If you contact Karen atleast
½ hour prior to your scheduled shift start, arrangements can be made to reschedule for
another date; otherwise, you will forfeit your Concession Stand refund.
- If you were scheduled to work the Concession Stand and your shift was canceled for whatever
reason (weather, etc.), it is your responsibility to contact Paula or Judy to reschedule. As you are
aware, we cannot predict the weather; however, we will attempt to place an announcement on the
Fieldhouse answering machine as soon as possible. You may be able to call ahead of time when
you think that games may be canceled due to inclement weather. Prior notification of cancellation
may not always be possible on some days.
- Please do not send anyone under the age of 18 to perform you Concession Stand duty unless
approved prior by the Concession Stand managers. Anyone under the age of 18 will be sent home,
another worker will be called in and paid, and you will forfeit your Concession Stand refund.
- The Concession Stand Shift Schedule Book is available daily to reschedule your shift. Please wait
until 6:30PM on weekdays or 9:30AM on weekends to reschedule your shift. Paula and Judy are very
busy with daily preparations prior to these times.
* LFYAA is a volunteer organization. This means that we all must pitch in to help keep our cost
down. We are asking all coaches, parents, and spectators to keep the park clean and free of litter.
Additionally, we ask that each night the trash cans be emptied into the dumpster. New trash can
liners may be found in the Concession Stand. If the coaches, parents, and spectators of each team
could each dump one trash can, our park will remain clean. Also, after the last game each night,
please remove the Red Corner Flags and return them to the double-door garage in the back of the
building. Thank you for your cooperation and support with these daily tasks.
Concession Stand Parking
- Due to the late night departure of our Concession Stand workers, we have reserved several
parking spaces on our lower level for these workers. When the field lights are turned off, it becomes
very dark and it is unfair that our workers have to walk great distances in the dark to their cars. As a
courtesy, we have posted these parking spaces with signs indicating "Concession Stand" workers.
Please refrain from parking in these spaces.
